The Procedure
Bleaching trays worn over the teeth are used to apply the whitening gel . A small amount of the gel is placed on the inside surface of each tray and the client wears them for half an hour twice a day for anything from 2-4 weeks (up to 1-6 months for clients with severe staining due to fluorosis or tetracycline staining). Results vary from 2-8 shades brightening, depending on degree of staining and quality of enamel as well as duration of the treatment. Extra gel kits might be required to achieve the desired results.
